Fishing the Cottage / WOT NO FISH

Went down to Portishead and fished a spot called the Cottage
This car carrying ship, "Autopremier", passed by inbound to Royal Portbury Dock.
A strong wind from left to right was blowing and made casting difficult.
This is usually a good Conger spot but I think they were all staying at home
as I caught nothing not even a bite.

This is a Liquid Patrolium Gas, "Marina", carrying vessel

heading to Avonmouth docks.

I dont know where this one was going.

The tide is high

The tide nearly topped the promenade and was very strong.
Weed was also a problem.

Saved by a small snotty (Silver Eel), the only fish caught.

I fished from 06.00 till 10.30. The high tide was 13.4 mtrs,

at 09.29.

Three bites on the Carp rod and only one Snotty.

The beach casters didn't even get a bite.

Squid, Mackeral and Rag worm were the baits used on there own and as cocktails.
