Used up the last of the rag worm from last weeks Wales trip,

rod on the day I caught this little Coddling.
Christened the new rod at last.

Fished yesterday evening 11-01-09

Well to cut the story short
Russell caught a Rockling (like this one)
and I blanked, not even a bite.

Thursday 8 January 2009

Welsh fishing trip.

Went to Newton Point Porthcawl Wales with my eldest son.
On the way we stoped off at Bridgend to get my Xmas presant
from the family. A Diawa STS 13 RGM Fishing Rod.
Well with Lug, Rag, Squid, Mackeral, Sand Eel and Razor Fish.
Our first spot was very snaggy with plenty of
crabs riping the bait apart.
How ever no bites and the tide pushed us away

So Russell grabed the camera and took some photos.

This is Russell at our first spot
Well we fished from 10.15 till 15.00
and no bites or fish caught???!!!!
140 MILES FOR A BLANK.
There are no fish in the Bristol Channel
and the E.U. want pleasure anglers to have catch quotas!!!!!!!

First fishing trip of 2009

My eldest son Russell dragged me down to Portishead
for a couple of hours.

We used a mixture of Rag, Lug, Squid and Mackeral.
BUT! the fish must have still been in bed keeping worm.
We had 5 bites between us and I managed this
tiny Whiting.

Smaller than a can of Coke?

This ship was have a calm departure from one of the
docks.
