Bristol 1/2 Marathon 06 September 2009

Race Result
1hr 48mins 46sec and 2998th out of 16000.
Up at 6am, out to walk the dog,
breakfast (2x Weetabix anda Banana)
Leave home at 7.45 and parked up at 8.05.
Walk down from the car park and look around,
This is me, ready to run!
Bimble over to the blue start
take a few photos,
and start sweating.
This is also me, really ready to run.
Training done, buckets of sweat left on the streets
of Lockleaze, Filton and out around the Mall shopping centre.
No wonder its been a wet summer.
Not rain falling but sweat.
Andrew (no 3 son) ready to cheer me on.
He should have been running but managed to pick
up a knee injury at rugby yesterday.

at around 91/2 miles.

The forcast was for cloudy conditions and light wind

with a temperature of 12 degrees. Well the cloud was very broken
and made it quite hot at times.

British Midland Regional swapped aircraft
this morning.
EMB 145 G-EMBI arrived from Manchester
as BMA 9131 at 11.41.
With EMB 145 G-RJXC departing to Manchester
as BMA 9132 at 12.26.

Arriving for the 50th anniversary of the
Rolls Royce Pegasus engine that
powers the BAe Harrier,
Royal Air Force Harrier GR 9 ZD321
made a VERY noisy arrival at 11.25.


You guessed it the weather was dodgy
with rain threathing.
Good old Filton.

Class 66 at Abbeywood

Took the grandson out for a walk whilst Ganny was having a break.
Stopped a Filton Abbeywood and this loco passed by in between
a procession on Units.
Freightliner Class 66, No 66623.
This one cheered my grandson up.
Its in Bardon Aggregates colours.
